[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Suffering neighbors, like DeCarlo, from across York continue to find meals, help, and hope at LifePath—because of you!

“I had a son here in York,” DeCarlo says. “But I still went around doing . . . not good things,” he admits, which eventually landed him in jail.

That was hard—harder than the streets he’d felt at home on for so long. But after he was released, his hopelessness only deepened.

Until that moment, “I didn’t think about where I was going to sleep or where my next meal would come from. I was definitely homeless at that point,” he says. He shook his head at how lost he felt, especially knowing how life on the street meant “you do whatever you’ve got to do to survive.”

Yet it’s in such moments of despair God often leads the hardest hearts to LifePath.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”243824″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://lcm.dsastg.net/donate-2/?slc=E23062BP1&sslc=BLOG&utm_source=WP&utm_medium=BLOG&utm_campaign=A-June0227-BP1″][vc_column_text]“I’d seen the (LifePath Christian Ministries) thrift stores,” DeCarlo recalls, and “I saw some pamphlets somewhere downtown,” then, “two guys walking around from a church who told me about LifePath. So I wanted to walk down and see it for myself . . .[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][vc_single_image image=”243822″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://lcm.dsastg.net/donate-2/?slc=E23062BP1&sslc=BLOG&utm_source=WP&utm_medium=BLOG&utm_campaign=A-June0227-BP1″][vc_column_text]

“From the street, I saw ‘LifePath’ written on the wall.

“I didn’t know if it was a shelter or not, but it said ‘Ministry,’ so I wanted to inquire inside. I told them how much I needed their help . . . and they welcomed me in.

Still marveling at the warm welcome he received, DeCarlo says, “That’s when they started explaining to me what they do.” He knew he’d found the godly place and people he’d been seeking for so long. “They don’t judge you when you come in. They don’t look down on you.”

“Being up front, honest, and open about your situation helps because they care—truly, genuinely care. They’ll feed you, clothe you, give you information and resources. It’s an awesome thing that you can come here and get help!”

DeCarlo’s already beginning to turn his life around in the Lord. “I started going to these programs. They teach me a lot, and I’ll continue once I’m done here,” he says, already planning for a future centered around Christ.

“I just like the fact that they bring you closer to God, one on one,” he says, excited by all the doors opening up for him. “I’m staying here in York to be a part of my son’s life, and LifePath is helping me do that.”

That’s a testimony to God’s power to transform lives, which you are a part of at LifePath![/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”243823″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://lcm.dsastg.net/donate-2/?slc=E23062BP1&sslc=BLOG&utm_source=WP&utm_medium=BLOG&utm_campaign=A-June0227-BP1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
