“[God] brought me here”—to LifePath!

When Rob heard the doors of LifePath were open to him, he could hardly believe the good news. Where he’d come from, it was no wonder . . .

“I was sleeping in the woods,” he recalls. Worse, “I ended up becoming very ill because the ticks were so bad. They were on me, and it was so bad. My ears were ringing, and I ended up in the hospital—for a week.”

But as he recuperated, Rob was afraid his homelessness wouldn’t end with the hospital, and he shuddered to think what going back outside might mean—especially with no job and no hope of finding one.

“I always worked hard, all my life,” he says, “I’ve done many things. Worked at horse ranches. On giant oyster boats out in Delaware Bay. I was a landscaper, and I had 33 years of drywall, which took a toll on me.” Yet, despite all his experience, in this economy, he was still headed for the streets . . .

“Homeless in the winter?” he asks, remembering how it felt. “First day or two, fine. But then it just rains and rains. I’d come to a little strip mall and get under a big overhang. Everything I had was there . . .”

Yet by the power God has to rescue his lost sheep, before leaving the hospital that day, Rob says in amazement, “I got a call: a friend of mine. He came up and got me. Then he brought me here”—to LifePath, where he received the grace he needed to turn his life around.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”243833″ img_size=”full” add_caption=”yes” alignment=”center” onclick=”custom_link” link=”https://lcm.dsastg.net/donate-2/?slc=E23042BP1&sslc=BLOG&utm_source=WP&utm_medium=BLOG&utm_campaign=A-April0181-BP1″][vc_column_text]“You come in, and you get your meals. You get a roof over your head. You get a bed. You get to sleep. You get up in the morning, and you get breakfast!” He smiles, the simple necessities of life are starting him on the road back to health—and providing him with the tools he needs to start over.

“Really, LifePath is a big help as far as case workers and everything else!” he says gratefully. “I commend them for what they do. They helped me out”—out of his hopelessness from suffering on the streets for so long.

Rob also shares his gratitude with those who support this Christ-centered ministry dedicated to life transformation: “These people are special. I mean, they’re doing good . . .

“I haven’t taken it for granted. They really don’t have to do it, but in their hearts, they do all this for us. I thank them so very much. They are very special people. God bless them!” he says, grateful to be transformed in the Lord this Easter season!

And with your heartfelt help and the hope Christ provides, more neighbors like Rob can find rebirth, renewal, and new life at LifePath!
